💼 Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria

CSIR-CSIO is hiring for three distinct positions across different groups:

1. Security Officer (Group B) – 01 Post (UR)

Pay Scale: Level-7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400) | Approx. Monthly Emoluments: ₹93,758/-
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Essential Qualification: Must be an Ex-Serviceman JCO (Subedar or higher rank) OR hold an equivalent rank in Paramilitary forces with a minimum of 10 years of experience in security.
- Note: Short Service Commissioned Officers or Assistant Commandants (CRPF/BSF/ITBP) require 5 years of experience. Inspectors from Paramilitary forces require 10 years of experience.

2. Receptionist (Group B) – 01 Post (UR)

Pay Scale: Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) | Approx. Monthly Emoluments: ₹74,530/-
Upper Age Limit: 28 years
Essential Qualification: Graduate with at least 2 years of relevant experience as a Receptionist in a Government, Autonomous Body, or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).

3. Driver (Group C) – 04 Posts (03-UR, 01-OBC)

(Out of these, 1 post is reserved for Ex-Servicemen)

Pay Scale: Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) | Approx. Monthly Emoluments: ₹41,718/-
Upper Age Limit: 27 years
Essential Qualification:
1. Pass in 10th standard (Matriculation).
2. Possession of a valid driving license for both LMV & HMV.
3. Knowledge of motor mechanisms (ability to remove minor vehicle defects).
4. At least 3 years of experience driving a motor car.

📝 Selection Process

The selection roadmap varies depending on the post:

Security Officer: Candidates will first undergo a Physical and Personality Assessment Test (qualifying nature). Those who pass will sit for a two-paper written test (Paper-I Objective, Paper-II Subjective). The final merit list is prepared strictly on Paper-II performance.
Receptionist: Selection is done directly through a Personality Assessment Test.
Driver: Shortlisted candidates must pass a driving skill test. Qualifying candidates will take an objective written exam covering General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and English.
