Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age as of the closing date of the application. Age relaxations apply to reserved categories as per Central Government rules:

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
PwBD: 10 years
Permanent Employees of PGIMER: 10 years

Educational Qualification and Experience

Candidates must satisfy either of the following qualification streams:

Stream A:

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing or a regular B.Sc. Nursing degree from a recognized university or institute.
Alternatively, a Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree from a recognized university or institute.
Registration as a Nurse or Nurse and Mid-wife (RN or RN & RM) with a State Nursing Council.

Stream B:

A Diploma in General Nursing and Mid-wifery (GNM) from a recognized Board or Council.
Registration as a Nurse or Nurse and Mid-wife with a State Nursing Council.
A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital with at least fifty beds, acquired after obtaining the GNM diploma.

Application Fee

PwBD Category: Exempted from paying the application fee.
SC/ST Category: Rs. 800 plus applicable transaction charges.
General, OBC, and EWS Categories: Rs. 1,500 plus applicable transaction charges.

Fees must be paid online via the application portal using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. Payment through UPI should be avoided.

Selection Process

The selection will be based entirely on merit secured in a Computer Based Test (CBT). There will be no personal interview round for these Group 'B' non-gazetted positions.

Exam Format: The test will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Duration: 100 minutes.
Language: The question paper will be in English only.
Negative Marking: Deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 40% for General/EWS categories and 35% for SC/ST/OBC categories to qualify.

Based on the CBT scores, candidates will be shortlisted for document verification in a 1:3 ratio relative to the number of advertised seats. Final selection is subject to successful verification of original eligibility documents.
