UPSC NEW VACANCIES OUT

The Union Public Service Commission has announced a written examination to be held on 6th August 2023, for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). As per the Official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, the five forces under CAPF viz. BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB will be filling 322 vacancies in total. The examination will be conducted as per the rules published by the Ministry of Home Affairs in the Gazette of India dated 26th April 2023. The eligibility criteria for the candidates are also mentioned, where the applicant must be a citizen of India, or with the consent of the Central Government, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan. According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 official notification, both male and female candidates are eligible for the post of Assistant Commandant, provided that they have attained the age of 20 years and have not crossed the age of 25 years as of 1st August 2023.

According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 official notification interested candidates need to apply online on or before 16th May 2023 at 18:00 hours through the link provided on the official website of UPSC. Candidates need to fill in the application form and upload their recent passport-sized photograph, scanned signature, and relevant documents. The examination date mentioned above is tentative and subject to change at the discretion of the Commission. The shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the eligibility criteria and experience in the relevant field, followed by interaction to assess their suitability for the job.
