The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a notification for the Direct Recruitment Quota Examination 2026 (DRQ2026), inviting online applications for various posts across India (p. 1). - Last Date for Online Application & Fee Submission: On or before 22.12.2025 (up to 11:59 P.M.) (p. 2)
The crucial date for determining eligibility criteria (age limit, educational qualifications, etc.) is the closing date of application, December 22, 2025 (pp. 5, 22).
Eligibility and Recruitment Process
Eligibility criteria and the examination scheme vary by post (pp. 6-8). Generally, the process involves a Tier-1 (MCQ) examination, a Tier-2 (Objective and Descriptive) examination, and for some posts, an Interview or Skill Test (pp. 10-12, 14-15).
The minimum age is 18 years (p. 5). Educational qualifications range from 12th class passes to postgraduate degrees, depending on the position (pp. 6, 8).

- Medium of Examination: Bilingual (Hindi and English), except for language comprehension tests (p. 16).
- Marking Scheme (Tier-1): 3 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark deducted for every incorrect answer (p. 17).

- Posting Location: Selected candidates are liable to be posted or transferred anywhere in India to any of the Board's offices (pp. 2, 21).
