The Role and Our Mission
India has made significant strides in organ transplantation, but the need for deceased organ donation is still vast. The National Organ Transplant Programme (NOTP) is a vital government initiative aimed at promoting organ donation and strengthening the transplant infrastructure across the country. As a Transplant Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in this mission.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the evaluation of both recipients and living donors for kidney transplants.
- Organizing and coordinating deceased renal transplantation processes within the institute.
- Liaising between the department, authorization committees, and government funding agencies.
- Promoting organ donation awareness both internally and externally.
This is a purely temporary, project-based position, co-terminus with the project duration (p. 1).
Essential Qualifications and Details
AIIMS Bilaspur is hiring for two Transplant Coordinator positions with a consolidated salary of ₹35,000 per month. The age limit for applicants is 30 years. Essential qualifications include a graduate degree in a recognized system of Medicine, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Allied Health Sciences, or a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychiatry, Sociology, Social Science, or Public Health. Basic computer knowledge and one year of relevant experience are considered desirable.
