Punjab and Haryana High Court Driver Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 25 Posts
The High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh has officially released a detailed employment notice (Advertisement No. 04/DRV/HC/2026) for the recruitment of Driver vacancies on its establishment. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their online applications via the official website from August 28, 2026, to September 18, 2026.

Vacancy Details
The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 25 vacant posts of Driver. The category-wise distribution is as follows:
- General Category: 21 posts
- SC / ST / BC: 03 posts
- Ex-Servicemen: 01 post
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Driver position, candidates must fulfill the following parameters as of the last date of application (September 18, 2026):
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years
- Upper age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to the Ex-servicemen category (equal to defense service plus 3 years).
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Minimum academic qualification of 10+2 pass.
- Must have passed Punjabi or Hindi as one of the subjects in the matriculation (10th) examination.
- Possession of a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license.
- A minimum of two years of experience driving a car.
- No prior conviction for any offense related to rash or negligent driving.
Application Fee
The application fee must be paid online and is entirely non-refundable:
- General candidates and SC/ST/BC applicants from states other than Punjab, Haryana, and UT Chandigarh: ₹1000
- SC/ST/BC applicants domiciled in Punjab, Haryana, and UT Chandigarh: ₹800
- Ex-Servicemen: ₹800
Selection Process
The selection process is governed by the rules of the High Court. Based on the number of applications received, the authorities may implement a shortlisting criteria. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Practical Test-cum-Interview, which will dictate the final merit list. Selected candidates will initially serve a trial period on daily wager rates approved by the Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, before formal appointment.
