HP High Court Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for Librarian, Peon, Mali, and Cook Posts

The High Court of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla has released an official advertisement notice (No. HC-Advt./2026 (3)) inviting online applications from eligible candidates to fill up various Group C and Group D regular vacancies. Desirous candidates can submit their applications online through the official recruitment portals starting from September 27, 2026.

Vacancy Details and Eligibility Criteria

1. Librarian (Group-C, Regular)

Total Posts: 01 (Unreserved)
Pay Scale: Pay Level 09 (Rs. 35,600 – 1,12,800)
Educational Qualification: Graduation with a Post Graduate Diploma in Library Science, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Library Science.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Library Attendant or a higher post in a related field in any reputed organization.
Selection Process: Selection will be based purely on the final merit list drawn from the marks obtained in the written test.

2. Peon (Group-D, Regular)

Total Posts: 08 (01-UR, 02-SC, 01-ST, 01-OBC, 01-EWS, 02-PH)
Pay Scale: Pay Level 01 (Rs. 18,000 – 56,900)
Educational Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation (10th standard) from a recognized board.
Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio based on their Matriculation marks (calculated out of 85 marks) followed by a Document Verification/Evaluation process carrying 15 marks.

3. Mali (Group-D, Regular)

Total Posts: 02 (01-UR, 01-ST)
Pay Scale: Pay Level 01 (Rs. 18,000 – 56,900)
Educational Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation from a recognized board.
Experience: 3 years of experience in gardening.
Selection Process: Shortlisting in a 1:3 ratio based on Matriculation marks (85 marks weightage) and Document Verification (15 marks weightage).

4. Cook-cum-Attendant (Group-D, Regular)

Total Posts: 04 (02-UR, 01-SC, 01-EWS)
Pay Scale: Pay Level 01 (Rs. 18,000 – 56,900)
Educational Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation from a recognized board.
Experience: 3 years of experience in cooking in a government undertaking or a reputed hotel. Preference will be given to candidates acquainted with local customs and dialects.
Selection Process: Shortlisting in a 1:3 ratio based on Matriculation marks (85 marks weightage) and Document Verification (15 marks weightage).

Age Limit (As of January 1, 2026)

Unreserved & EWS Candidates: 18 to 45 years.
Reserved Categories & HP Govt. Employees: 18 to 50 years (includes a 5-year upper age relaxation, applicable if the post is reserved for that category).

Reserved Categories of H.P. (SC, ST, OBC, EWS): Rs. 300 (including GST)

Register yourself with a valid mobile number and email ID.
Fill out the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) carefully.
Upload scanned copies of required documents including your passport-sized photograph (20-50 KB), signature (10-20 KB), Matric certificate as age proof (100-500 KB), and valid ID proof.
Pay the application fee online and submit your application before the deadline on October 27, 2026. Keep a printout of the final form for future reference.
