PSTCL Recruitment 2025: Your Opportunity to Join Punjab's Power Sector
The Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) has announced a major recruitment drive (CRA No. 12/2025) for 11 categories of posts, offering a total of 609 vacancies (p. 1). Eligibility Criteria (Key Requirements)
To be eligible for these posts, candidates must meet the specific educational qualifications and age limits as of January 1, 2025 (p. 6).
- Educational Qualifications: Vary by post. Generally, roles require a relevant degree, diploma, or ITI certificate from a recognized institution with a minimum percentage of marks (e.g., 55% for AE, 60% for JE/LDC roles) (pp. 1-4).
- Knowledge of Punjabi: All candidates must have passed Punjabi at least up to the Matriculation level or its equivalent (p. 6).
- Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 and 37 years of age as of 01.01.2025 (p. 6). Age relaxation is available for candidates of Punjab Domicile only, as per Punjab Government rules (p. 6).
Selection Process
The selection process involves an online computer-based test (CBT), tentatively scheduled for January 2026 in various cities across Punjab and UT Chandigarh (pp. 9, 12).
- The exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) (p. 9).
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 (1/4th) of the marks for each incorrect answer (pp. 9, 11).
- Minimum qualifying marks are 50% for the General Category and 40% for Reserved Categories (pp. 9, 11).
