Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Residency: Must be a Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh and a normal/neighboring resident of the specific Gram Panchayat/Urban Local Body where the veterinary institution is located (pp. 2, 9).
- Education: Minimum qualification is Matric (10th) from a school/institution within Himachal Pradesh (p. 3).
- Age: Between 18 and 45 years as of January 31, 2026 (p. 3).
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able-bodied. A physical test is required where candidates must carry a 25 kg weight for 100 meters within one minute (p. 3).
Application Process
- Obtain Form: Download the official application form (Annexure-A) and other required documents from the departmental website of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Himachal Pradesh (hpagrisnet.gov.in/hpagris/animalhusbandry/) or the DPRO Mandi Facebook page starting January 7, 2026 (pp. 1, 3, 5).
- Fill Out Form: Complete the form in your own handwriting using blue/black ink (p. 6).
- Attach Documents: Include self-attested photocopies of all necessary documents, such as your 10th mark sheet, Himachali Bonafide certificate, category certificates, and a certificate of livestock rearing experience if applicable (Annexure-B) (pp. 5-6).
- Submit: Send the complete application package to the office of the Senior Veterinary Officer of the specific Sub-Divisional Veterinary Hospital listed in Annexure-D where you are applying (p. 2).
Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will be rejected
