🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements by the closing date (23/06/2026):
- Degree: A Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), or an equivalent degree from a recognized university (p. 4).
- Language: Must have passed Matriculation (10th) with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject, or completed 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi (p. 4).
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computers, specifically for Word Processing and Spreadsheets (p. 4).
📝 Selection Process
The selection consists of two main stages (p. 6):
Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
This is a 2-hour online written exam totaling 100 marks (p. 6):
- General Knowledge (Objective): 50 questions (50 marks) (p. 6)
- English Composition (Objective & Subjective): 50 objective questions (20 marks) + Subjective Essay, Letter, Precis, and Translation (30 marks) (p. 6).
Important Exam Rules:
- There is a negative marking of 1/4th mark for every wrong objective answer (p. 6).
- You must type the subjective English part on the computer (p. 6).
- The subjective section will only be checked if you score 33% or more in General Knowledge (p. 6).
- The minimum qualifying criteria is 33% in each subject and 40% in the aggregate (p. 6).
Stage 2: Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
Candidates who qualify the CBT will face a mandatory, qualifying-nature CPT consisting of (p. 6):
- Part-I (Spreadsheet Test): 10 marks in 10 minutes (Must score at least 4 marks to pass) (p. 7).
- Part-II (Computer Typing Test): English typing at a minimum speed of 30 WPM (p. 7).
The final merit list will be prepared strictly based on the scores achieved in the written CBT (p. 7).
