AIIMS CRE-5 Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for Group B and C Non-Faculty Posts

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the Detailed Recruitment Advertisement for the Common Recruitment Examination-5 (CRE-5) (p. 1). This centralized exam simplifies the hiring process for multiple regular Non-Faculty Group-B and Group-C positions across 32 participating AIIMS institutions and other Central Government bodies (p. 4).   • Medical Lab & Pharmacy: Pharmacist, Junior Medical Laboratory Technologist.
  • Nursing & Nutrition: Senior Nursing Officer, Assistant Dietician.

Eligibility Criteria
Since the CRE-5 is a unified examination system, the exact educational qualifications and age limits vary based on the specific post applied for (pp. 6, 21). The crucial date for determining the age limit and eligibility is the closing date of registration, July 3, 2026 (pp. 7-8). Standard age relaxations apply for reserved categories, including 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates (p. 8). Candidates must check the detailed annexure in the official notification to match their qualifications against their chosen group code (p. 14).
Application Fee
Candidates need to pay the application fee online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking (p. 13). The fee structure per post group is as follows (p. 13):
  • General / OBC Candidates: Rs. 3000/-
  • SC / ST / EWS Candidates: Rs. 2400/- (Fees for SC/ST candidates who appear in the exam will be refunded after results are declared)
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Exempted from payment
Scheme of Examination
The selection process relies primarily on a normalized Computer Based Test (CBT) (p. 21).
  • Duration: 90 minutes (p. 14).
  • Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 400 marks (p. 14).
  • Structure: 20 MCQs evaluate General Knowledge, Aptitude, and Basic Computers. The remaining 80 MCQs focus strictly on the technical domain of the selected group (p. 14).
  • Sectional Timer: The paper is divided into 5 sections of 18 minutes each. Candidates cannot return to a section once its time lapses (pp. 14-15).
  • Negative Marking: There is a penalty of 1/4 mark for each incorrect answer (p. 15).
  • Qualifying Marks: 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for OBC, and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD (p. 15).
  • Skill / Typing Test: Applicable only to specific positions like Stenographers, Data Entry Operators, and Clerks, which will be qualifying in nature (pp. 16-18, 21).
How to Apply
Eligible aspirants must register through the Online Registration Portal on the official AIIMS examination website: www.aiimsexams.ac.in (p. 6). No physical documents or registration slips should be sent to the AIIMS office (p. 6). Ensure that high-quality photographs, signatures, and thumb impressions are uploaded according to the guidelines to avoid application rejection (p. 7). After the declaration of CBT results, qualified candidates will be requested to log in and select their preference of institutes for final allocation.
