📌 Delhi WCD Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 44 Vacancies Under Mission Vatsalya

The Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD), Government of NCT of Delhi, has released an official advertisement for recruitment under the Mission Vatsalya Scheme (p. 1). Applications are invited for various positions in the State Child Protection Society (SCPS), District Child Protection Units (DCPU), Juvenile Justice Boards (JJB), Child Welfare Committees (CWC), and Special Juvenile Police Units (SJPU) (p. 1).


These positions are purely on a contractual basis initially for a period of one year (p. 1).

🎓 Eligibility Criteria & Key Requirements
All positions require candidates to have passed Class 12 with at least 60% marks (pp. 3-4, 6-7, 9-11, 13-16). Below are the post-specific essential qualifications:
1. Programme Officer & DCPO
  • Education: Post Graduate degree (min 50%) in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Human Rights, Public Administration, Psychology, Psychiatry, Law, Public Health, or Community Resource Management (pp. 3-4).
  • Experience: 2 years for Programme Officer (p. 3); 3 years for DCPO (p. 4).
2. Protection Officers (Institutional & Non-Institutional Care)
  • Education: Post Graduate degree (min 50%) OR a Graduate degree in the relevant social science fields listed above (pp. 6-7, 9-10).
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant project experience required if applying via the Graduate route (pp. 7, 10).
3. Legal cum Probation Officer
  • Education: LLB from a recognized university (p. 11).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of regular paid experience working with Government/NGOs, preferably in Women & Child Rights (p. 12).
4. Counselor, Social Worker, Accountant & Data Analyst
  • Education: Graduate degree in respective fields (Social Work/Sociology for Social Worker (p. 13); Commerce/Maths for Accountant (p. 14); Statistics/Maths/Economics/BCA for Data Analyst (p. 15)).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of working experience in the relevant field (pp. 13-15). Tally skills are required for the Accountant post (p. 14).
5. Assistant cum Data Entry Operator (ADEO) & Outreach Worker
  • Education: Class 12 pass (pp. 15-16). ADEO requires a 1-year Computer Application Diploma/Certificate and a typing speed of 35 WPM in English (p. 15).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the field of Women & Child Development (pp. 15-16).

📝 Selection Process
  1. Scrutiny of Applications: Submitted applications will be reviewed for eligibility (p. 1).
  2. Shortlist Publication: The list of eligible candidates will be published on the official WCD website (p. 1).
  3. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will receive an email invitation for the final interview rounds (p. 1).
