The G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (GBPNIHE) has officially released a new recruitment notification (Advt. No.- NIHE/HPRC-04/26-27). Applications are open for a project-based, temporary position at its Himachal Pradesh Regional Centre located in Mohal, Kullu.

The selected candidate will work on the HPPCL-funded project titled "Assessing Ecosystem Services and Biodiversity Conservation in Hydropower Projects: A Case Study of Thana Paula Hydropower Project".

Position Name: Field Worker / Assistant (01 Vacancy)

Monthly Remuneration: ₹18,000 per month (Fixed)
Maximum Age Limit: 50 Years
Nature of Work: Primary data collection, conducting field surveys, and assisting the research team in overall data acquisition.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet either of the following educational and experience requirements:

Option A: First-Class Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Economics, or Sociology from a recognized university.
Option B: Intermediate (10+2) qualification paired with at least eight years of research experience.
Desirable Skill: Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience working or conducting surveys in rugged mountain terrains.
