Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational & Professional Qualifications

Must have passed 10+2 from a recognized Board of School Education.
Must possess a valid driving license for operating light or heavy vehicles (LMV/HMV) in hilly terrains.

2. Age Limit (As of Closing Date)

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 45 years
Note: Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per Himachal Pradesh Government rules.

3. Domicile & Region Requirement

Candidates must be a citizen of India and a Bonafide Himachali.
Non-bonafide candidates are only eligible if they have passed both Matriculation and 10+2 from a school or institution situated within Himachal Pradesh.
Desirable: Knowledge of local customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.

Selection Process (100 Total Marks)

Selection will be based on a driving skill test and parameter evaluation broken down as follows:

Driving Skill Test: 55 Marks
General Vehicle Control (Steering, gear changes, braking): 10 Marks
Weightage for 10+2 Marks: 20 Marks (Your 10+2 percentage multiplied by 0.20)
Government/Semi-Government Experience: Up to 05 Marks (1 mark per completed year)
Pre-starting Vehicle Checks & Precautions: 04 Marks
Traffic Rules and Signs Knowledge: 03 Marks
Pre-moving Driving Seat Checks: 03 Marks
